Real English Party Mini-Challenge: Thanksgiving in America

When speaking English, if you don’t know or can’t remember a noun, it’s often better to use your English to describe it as a person, place or thing rather than to look up the word in the dictionary.

Just use the following three relative clauses:

  • For a person, use the “WHO” clause.
  • For a place, use the “WHERE” clause.
  • For a thing, use the “THAT” clause.

Given the above, how would you describe what the following family is thankful for?

Ok! Now try the following quiz for some ideas to compare your descriptions to.

Thanks for playing!
